What You Need To Buy A Gun
- You must be a California resident with a valid non-expired California driver's license or DMV Identification Card or military identification accompanied by permanent duty station orders showing you are stationed in California. A temporary license is not acceptable; it must be the real thing
- Must be at least 21 years of age to buy a handgun & 18 years of age to buy a rifle or shotgun
- Any felony will prevent purchase of any firearm
- California also has a 10-day waiting period
- If you are not a U.S. Citizen, you need to be able to show documentation containing you Alien Registration Number or I-94 Number
- Handgun buyers must also provide proof of California residency, like a utility bill, vehicle registration, residential lease or property deed
- In addition, the gun you wish to purchase must be on California's list of approved firearms

Upon Pick Up Of All Firearms You Will Be Required By CA State Law To Have A Gun Lock!!
- hand guns: Must be a California (DAC Approved) gun lock purchased within the last 30 days w/original receipt.
- long guns: Must have a gun lock or locking device (locking case, gun lock, trigger lock etc.)
- firearm frames: Must have a gun lock or locking device (loocking case, gun lock, trigger lock ect.)
- gun safes: Must have: make, model, receipt and must fill out safe affidavit - please review safe affidavit if going to be used - only valid for long guns/firearms frames
